Tahini Pizza

Ingredients
Wholemeal Spelt Base
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 packet of dried yeast
- 3 cups of wholemeal spelt flour
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt
- 3 Tbsp Za’atar
Basil Tahini Sauce
- 1 bunch of fresh basil
- Juice of 1 lemon (1/4 cup)
- 1/4 cup of Mayver’s Tahini
- 1 small garlic clove
Method
- Gently mix yeast & water & leave for 15mins until frothy.
- Then add all other ingredients & knead into a soft dough.
- If mixture is too sticky add a little more flour, a sprinkle at a time.
- Place in a lightly oiled bowl & cover with a tea towel in a warm spot for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- When ready, roll out onto a lightly floured surface.
- Top with desired toppings (pictured is smashed roasted pumpkin, fresh basil, mushrooms, cherry tomato & olives) & bake in a hot oven until golden.
- Drizzle with basil tahini sauce.
Note: Slowly drizzle in water while blending to create your desired sauce consistency.
