Peanut Butter Chocolate Donuts

Ingredients

55g butter

½ cup Mayver’s Dark Roasted Unsalted Peanut Butter

¼ cup maple syrup

1 egg

½ cup almond milk

1 cup self-raising flour

¼ cup cacao powder

A pinch of salt

110g dark chocolate

60g white chocolate (optional, for topping)

+ a donut baking pan

 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-forced and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave.
  3. Add the peanut butter, maple syrup, egg and almond milk and whisk to combine.
  4. Sift in the flour, cacao powder and salt and stir until an even dough forms.
  5. Roughly chop the dark chocolate and stir it through the mixture until evenly mixed through.
  6. Divide the mixture evenly between 8 holes of a donut pan and bake them in the oven for approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Once the donuts are cooled, melt the white chocolate in a small bowl and dip the donuts in to coat them if desired.
