Kale Chips and Tahini Cumin Dip

Ingredients

For Chips

  • 1/2 bunch kale
  • 1/2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • Spices of choice (eg. nutritional yeast, paprika, garlic powder & sea salt are great together!)

For dip

  • 1 Tbsp Mayver’s Tahini
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1-2 Tbsp water
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt & pepper to taste.

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 150C.Tear leaves (no stems) and place in bowl.
  2. Massage spices and coconut oil into the leaves.
  3. Spread out in single layer, and cook on low & fan forced.
  4. Place in oven and cook for 10 mins, then turn tray around and cook for a further 10-12 mins. Check them as oven times vary- they should be lightly brown and crisp.
  5. While chips are in the oven: whisk dip ingredients with a fork until smooth. Add more or less water until it’s reached your desired consistency
  6. Remove chips, and serve with dipping sauce.
