Caramel Twix Slice

Ingredients
For the Base:
1/2 cup flax meal
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup of almond meal (heaped)
40g choc protein powder
5-6 tbsp almond milk
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp coconut yoghurt
For the Topping:
Chopped roasted almonds
Hemp seeds
For the Caramel:
7 dates (softened in boiling water)
1-2 heaped tbsp Mayver’s Probiotic Peanut Butter
1 heaped tbsp coconut yoghurt
Pinch salt
For the Glaze:
2 blocks dark chocolate
1 tsp coconut oil
Method
- Line a loaf tray with baking paper
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all base ingredients (add more flax meal if too sticky)
- Press base into the loaf pan and top with chopped almonds and hemp seeds
- Blitz caramel ingredients until smooth (a few date chunks are good)
- Top the base with caramel and freeze overnight
- Once frozen, allow to defrost for 20mins then slice with a warm knife
- Melt dark choc (double boiler method)
- Cover each bar with dark chocolate and place in the fridge
- Once set, enjoy!
