Spiced Tahini and Lentil Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 cup red split lentils 
  • 1 clove of garlic 
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Mayver’s Tahini
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1 Tbsp Berbere Spice Mix

Method

  1. Place your lentils into a saucepan along with 1 and a 1/2 cups of water.
  2. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat, and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until just cooked through. Let them cool.
  3. Add the lentils and the rest of the ingredients into a blender or food processor, and mix until it reaches your desired consistency.
