Hiking is the one time you definitely want to be prepared! When going on hikes, particularly one over a number of days, you need to intake as many calories as humanly possible to maintain energy levels. Particularly sourced from healthy fats, oils, sugars and of course, protein.

Peanut butter is packed with hiker’s essential nutrients. It serves as a rich source of vitamins E, B3, and B6 as well as minerals such as magnesium, potassium, selenium and zinc. All of them play an important role in the processes of energy production and fat metabolism in the body.

Many people have shared stories of their troubles attempting to smear their peanut butter in zip lock bags, only to find it had completely destroyed the inside of their bag upon exploding. Inspired by these stories, Mayver’s has come up with the perfect solution. Our NEW Goodness-to-Go range is the perfect on the go energy source for adventurers on the move.  The tiny pots fit into any little crevice you may have left over in your backpack and are super lightweight to reduce that burden on your shoulders. Don’t get weighed down with your heavy PB jars. Just pack, snack, and put back.

Mayver’s favourite hiking tracks:

Grand Canyon Walk, The Blue mountains NSW 6km: Often regarded as one of the most impressive walking trails in the Blue Mountains region, the Grand Canyon Walk will leave you amazed while you make your way through lush rainforest with several creek crossings, small waterfalls, huge sandstone walls and rock overhangs.

Picnic Rock and Elabana Falls QLD 7.2km: Draped in tropical greenery and vines, this hike is stunning. At the top you reach a beautiful waterhole, it’s one of the few in the National Parks where swimming is allowed.

Erskine Falls Circuit VIC 23k: The Erskine Falls Circuit hike is in the beautiful Otway’s of Victoria’s west.  One of the most popular waterfalls in the Otways, the Erskine Falls plunges 30 metres into the lush tree-fern gully of the Erskine River
