Tahini Pizza

Ingredients

Wholemeal Spelt Base

  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 1 packet of dried yeast
  • 3 cups of wholemeal spelt flour
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 Tbsp Za’atar

Basil Tahini Sauce

  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • Juice of 1 lemon (1/4 cup)
  • 1/4 cup of Mayver’s Tahini
  • 1 small garlic clove

Method

  1. Gently mix yeast & water & leave for 15mins until frothy.
  2. Then add all other ingredients & knead into a soft dough.
  3. If mixture is too sticky add a little more flour, a sprinkle at a time.
  4. Place in a lightly oiled bowl & cover with a tea towel in a warm spot for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. When ready, roll out onto a lightly floured surface.
  6. Top with desired toppings (pictured is smashed roasted pumpkin, fresh basil, mushrooms, cherry tomato & olives) & bake in a hot oven until golden.
  7. Drizzle with basil tahini sauce.

Note: Slowly drizzle in water while blending to create your desired sauce consistency.
